Antron® Carpet Fiber Sustainable Flooring Performance Awards

In 1984, Ephrata Middle School received a complete remodel, which included replacing the school's VCT tile with C&A Guardian I carpet, featuring Antron® nylon. This was quite a departure because no schools in the district featured carpet at the time. The carpet proved enormously successful for its ease of maintenance and ability to reduce noise. Since that time, five other schools in the district have been carpeted with the product, and more installations are planned. Because school budgets are tight, the district specifies durable finishes that are meant to last and are easy to care for. The school's maintenance professionals estimate that maintaining their carpet is 25-30 percent less expensive than hard surface. The carpet in Ephrata Middle School has been down 24 years and counting!
