"We partner with Antron® Fiber because they are a leader in product innovation, and like us, are focused on performance, aesthetics and sustainable initiatives," says Bentley Prince Street President, Anthony Minite.

One of the nation’s leading carpet manufacturers, Bentley Prince Street is fully committed to top service, innovative design and, perhaps most notably, sustainable operations. They’re a rare breed. An outstanding restorative enterprise with incredible quality and depth of product. They offer a full assortment of complementing broadloom and tile materials. A variety of backing options. And price points to get any job done.

As an environmentally responsible citizen, Bentley Prince Street is a strong advocate of alternative energy. In fact, a portion of their manufacturing processes are powered by solar energy from one of the largest, privately funded, photovoltaic solar arrays in the United States. It’s their hope to lead others on the path to sustainability.

In 1994, QUEST (Quality Utilizing Employees Suggestions and Teamwork) was born. Since the program’s inception, water consumption is down 46 percent, energy consumption is down 41 percent, and landfill waste is down 82 percent. Furthermore, 100 percent of their electricity is made reusable via renewable energy credits (RECs), purchase of green energy directly from the grid, and on-site generation of electricity from the solar array.

Whenever possible, Bentley Prince Street uses planet-friendly materials. All products made with High Performance™ or Lifespan* backings have the Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) Certification for Carpet, awarded by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), an independent third party certifier of environmental product claims.

What’s more, Bentley Prince Street is always searching for new ways to be environmentally responsible. Like their Cool Carpet and ReEntry initiatives. The Cool Carpet program helps limit greenhouse gas emissions through the purchase of certified emission credits (ERC). While the carpet reclamation program, ReEntry, recycles used carpet. They also have products containing pre-consumer recycled content, part of the LEED™ Rating System for environmentally focused products.

It’s nice to be recognized. And Bentley Prince Street is consistently acknowledged for their sustainable practices. In 2004 alone, recognition included:

  • California Climate Action Registry – The very first Climate Action Leader™ of the year.

  • EPA Green Power Partnership Club – For exemplary green power procurement.

  • GEELA Award – The Governor’s Environmental and Economic Leadership Award for the State of California, the state’s most prestigious environmental honor.

  • WRAP Recognition – California’s highest honor for waste reduction.

Bentley Prince Street is committed to making superior products for its customers. And the environment. Which makes them a perfect fit for Antron®. “We partner with Antron® Fiber because they are a leader in product innovation, and like us, are focused on performance, aesthetics and sustainable initiatives,” says Bentley Prince Street President, Anthony Minite. “They are also in the area of field support through their technical teams and fiber consultants.”
